The Magic Mushroom was established in 1996 by Darren Bennet, one of the leading chefs in the area, and offers a contemporary menu with a traditional influence. Where possible, the ingredients used in the dishes are local and organic, with freshness and quality at the forefront of their offerings.

We love wandering down from our retirement village in Essex to see the beautiful interior. Felix offers the perfect blend of fine dining and comfort, with little touches of elegant art deco, warm lighting, and imaginative wall art.
To maximise the use of fresh seasonal produce, the menus at Felix, including lunch and a la carte, vary from season to season. But you can expect delightful seafood dishes such as scallops and mussels, as well as fresh monkfish and tender beef medallions.
